Before you hand over the camera

A few things
you might wonder.

The camera is simple. The best footage comes from giving it to people who know you.

Good to know

Who should do the filming?

Pick one or two willing friends to get things started, then pass it around. Ask them to capture the getting ready, messages from guests and the dance floor. No one needs to film the whole day.

Do our guests need camera experience?

No. The camera arrives charged with the memory card inserted. Open the screen, frame your shot and press record. We handle the editing after you return it.

What if the footage is shaky—or there isn’t much?

Some shake is part of a home video. We select and edit from the clips your guests capture, but editing can’t recover moments that weren’t filmed. Give a couple of friends the camera early and ask them to check in with it throughout the day.

How much do we need to film?

Aim for a mix of short moments throughout the day, rather than one long recording. More variety gives us more to work with. If there are must-have moments, ask someone to take responsibility for those.

Does this replace a professional videographer?

This is a guest-filmed wedding film. For guaranteed coverage of the full ceremony or speeches, a professional videographer serves a different purpose. The camcorder can be used alongside them.

When does everything arrive?

The camera arrives two days before your event. Send it back in the same box with the prepaid label. Your edited recap, social reel and original footage are delivered within two weeks of the camera reaching us.
